Royal Order Pendant or Brooch — Beading PDF Tutorial | Odd Count Peyote

Royal Order Pendant or Brooch — Beading PDF Tutorial | Odd Count Peyote

$13.20

Regal in feel and versatile in format — the Royal Order pendant or brooch captures a large 27mm crystal in a distinctive beaded frame with Rizo bead spikes and a pointed peyote tab that gives it real presence.

The same ladder-stitch capture method used in Treble Brilliance is applied here to a single large crystal, but the Royal Order goes further with a decorative bottom tab worked in odd-count peyote with Demi Round beads, and a top loop bail for wearing as a pendant. A peyote strip across the back converts it to a brooch instead — both options are included. Pearl edging and size 11 outer detailing complete the layered, textured look that makes this piece look far more complex than it is to make.

This is a 7-page PDF tutorial with step-by-step instructions, diagrams, and photos for both pendant and brooch finishing options.

Bead list: 1 × 27mm 1201 Swarovski (or equivalent) round crystal, 2g size 8 seed beads, 3g size 11 seed beads, 2g size 15 seed beads, 2g size 8 Demi Rounds, 2g size 11 Demi Rounds (A), 1g size 11 Demi Rounds (B), 26 Rizo beads, 14 × 3mm round pearls, brooch pin and/or chain with clasp.

Skill level: Beginner to intermediate. Techniques: Ladder stitch, crystal capture, odd-count peyote, overstitch edging.
