The On A String Bead-a-long is our free live beading session — a chance to sit down with Paula and a community of makers from around the world and bead the same project or theme, in real time, no matter where you're beading from.
No pressure, no perfection, just good company and a new concept or project you'll finish with new skills in your hands.
Why We Do It
Beading is better when it's shared. The Bead-a-long exists to bring that feeling online — the same energy as sitting around a table with other beaders, minus the table. You'll get live demonstrations, real-time troubleshooting, and the kind of "oh, that's how you do it" moments that are hard to get from a written tutorial alone.
It's also a chance to try something new. Each quarter brings a different theme, so if a technique or style isn't usually your thing, this is the low-stakes way to give it a go.
How It Works

- Live on Zoom — free to join, open to all skill levels
- Monthly sessions — one evening a month, for the length of the current theme
- A new theme every quarter — see image for what's running right now
- Follow along in real time — Paula demonstrates live, step by step
