Beaded Easter Egg — Bead Weaving PDF Tutorial | Peyote & Netting

$6.60

Beaded Easter eggs that outlast the chocolate — a sweet, sparkly keepsake to make every year.

These decorative eggs are worked around a lightweight polystyrene base using peyote stitch and netting, building up rings of cabochons, pearls, bicone crystals, and seed beads until the whole surface shimmers. The technique starts with a ring of two-hole cabochon beads anchored with double-sided tape, then expands outward and inward to cover both domes completely. Choose your own colour palette — pastels, brights, or anything from your bead stash — and make a little collection. They're the kind of thing people keep long after Easter is over.

This 6-page PDF includes 17 fully illustrated steps covering the complete beading process from tape placement through to closing both ends of the egg. Suitable for a confident beginner or intermediate beader.

Bead list (per egg): 14 × 6mm two-hole cabochon beads, 28 × 3mm pearls, 14 × 4mm crystal bicones, 2g size 11 seed beads Colour A, 2g size 11 seed beads Colour B, size 15 seed beads (small quantity for closing rounds), double-sided tape ¼ inch wide, 1 × 4cm polystyrene foam egg.

Skill level: Beginner to intermediate — knowledge of peyote stitch and netting required.
Techniques: Peyote stitch, netting, ring decrease, two-hole bead work, working in the round.
