Make a beaded Christmas tree in cubic right angle weave (CRAW).
This is A Little Extra — a free pattern series from On A String, designed to give you something beautiful to make between projects. The tree is built from small CRAW units in four colours, joined along a centre trunk, finished with 3mm bicones on each branch and a tiny fringed star on top. Hang it on your tree, make it up as a pendant, or clip it to a gift bag. It's a great first shaped motif if you're comfortable with CRAW basics.
This is the pattern from the 2026 Christmas Bead-a-Long. The 3-page PDF includes the bead list, four colourway suggestions (Traditional, Modern, Winter and Bright) and a layout diagram for assembling your tree.
Bead list: size 11 seed beads in five colours (3g, 3g, 2g, 1g and 2g gold or silver lined), 1g size 15 seed beads, 10 × 3mm bicones, cord for hanging.
Skill level: Intermediate — knowledge of CRAW basics needed. Techniques: Cubic right angle weave, fringing.
